As Soulblighter's corrupting influence spread, many weak and unsavory soldiers were swayed to his banner with false promises. These are the rough equivalent of their Light counterparts, with some differences; for example Brigands, being undisciplined, run more slowly than Warriors.

The stain of evil on these units is visible even from afar. -Brigand and Dark Archer Description, Cast of Characters, Myth II Manual

Description[]

The Brigands (along with the Dark Archers) are a gang of outlaws who ambush and rob people in towns, forests and mountains. They also act as mercenaries for hire, serving as warriors for Baron Kildaer, who secretly collaborated with Soulblighter. It is speculated that the brigands were not just paid for services, but they also had ulterior motives for joining Soulblighter's cause.

By the time of Myth II: Chimera, the Brigands joined Kyrilla in destroying Cartucke.

The model for the Brigand was originally created as a new look for the Warrior. After listening to feedback from early testers for Myth II, Bungie decided to maintain the original Warrior design, and the new model was re-purposed as an evil unit.[1]
