Ghasts are undead beings, Zombies basically, created from the corpses of the recently deceased.
Ghasts are slow and shambling, but their touch is hazardous on account that they are infected with paralyzing death fever. And this lethal if there is a whole horde of them.
When a Ghast has reached a certain level or age, it then turns into a Wight.
