Alric and the Legion after reclaiming Muirthemne.

Ruins of Muirthemne

Ruins of Muirthemne.

Muirthemne is the ancient capital of the Cath Bruig Empire. Originally known as Llancarfan from the Age of Reason to the Wind Age, it was renamed by its ruler Connacht to honor the dwarven smiths who helped protect it. It was the home to many great sorcerers and craftsmen, whose works included the Tain and the Sun Hammer. The city was later sacked and raved into ruin when it was sieged by the Dark led by Balor the Leveler. This ushered in the Sword Age.

As the Second War raged on, Alric ordered the Legion into reclaiming Muirthemne, and restored it to its former glory as the new Emperor. On February 26, 2541 AE, a team of Dwaven Mortars and four Trow were sent to crush through Herod and his dark forces to reclaim the city . The Legion then journeyed into the haunted mausoleum to find the crown. After Alric was crowned the new emperor of the Cath Bruig and the rebirth of the Heron Guard, Soulblighter attempted to siege Muirthemne with an army of Myrkridia and some giants. The Heron Guard and the rest of the defenders proved themselves worthy as they successfully repelled the attack and saved the capital.
