An initiate of the Avatara. While not adept with weapons, he is capable of weaving great spells, the likes of which even the highest-ranking of the order can but imagine. -Myrdred Description, Glossary, Myth III Manual
Description[]
Myrdred was a young man when he first became an avatara. Though not proficient in sword combat, his discipline for learning spellcasting and hunger for knowledge made him powerful among his fellow mages. His desire for seeking lost history and forgotten powers caused him to serve as an assistant to the warlock Mjarin, the Imperial Advisor to Emperor Leitrim.
Mjarin's power allowed Myrdred to start an uprising of oghres against the trow, and also allowed him to defeat the Watcher. This started their long-lasting hatred.
Mjarin soon turned against Connacht, proclaiming himself an emperor, and revealed that Myrdred has been a spy. After the warlock's defeat, Myrdred was sent to exile by Connacht and named the Deceiver. When Connacht returned as Balor, he rose Myrdred back from the dead to serve as a Fallen Lord.
Powers[]
Mydred could cast Dispersal Dreams, the Dream of Release, and he was able to freeze many Trow in place via a powerful spell. What dream this was that Myrdred used is not known.

One of the initiates, offended at seeing a lowly apprentice not showing proper respect, approached and challenged Myrdred to a duel. With but only a glance, the initiate froze in mid-step. The smiling apprentice whispered, 'true power lies not in your arms'…"
"...defeated by the Trow eons past, the Callieach were known as the first true sorcerers. It was they who interpreted the one-dream of the Wyrd and carved those visions into the monolithic Rune Stones which lie scattered across the face of the world. Ancient scrolls unearthed in the Age of Reason, speak of fourty-nine of these dream-spells etched upon stone, and hidden for ages..."
