The Province, also known as the Southern Province, is a vast region located southwest of the Cloudspine Mountains. Inhabitable places include the towns of Ash, Comfort, and Shoal. The region is served under the protection of Madrigal after Covenant and Tyr were destroyed by The Dark. There are also several ghost towns, such as the ruined village of Avon's Grove, the old city of Scales, and the abandon town of Silvermines.
One hundred and fifty years before events of Myth: The Fallen Lords, a war of succession was fought within the Province, in and around Covenant. In 2468 AE of the Great War, the armies of the Dark razed the cities of Covenant and Tyr, scattering the survivors of the Province into the Free Cities of the North.
